Those are the classic labels. On this site the ongoing gears are four levels of intensity: CTO on Call (an on-demand senior sanity-check), Advisory (the lightest ongoing gear), Embedded (the flagship — owns architecture and the roadmap), and Interim (near-full-time through a transition or critical build).
